More information?

The Premier Accounts team is already working closely with clients who recognise the advantages of digital data technology. I would like to invite you to join us.

If you are interested, and would like more information about Cloud business, please simply ask.

As an opener, we would be delighted to give you a no obligation introduction to the next bookkeeping and accountancy revolution as it unfolds.

Change is coming. We feel that you would be off ahead of the curve.

Yes, there is a substantial step-change in initial costs to put Cloud systems into place. But the potential commercial and financial payback is much larger.

The best way I can describe it is that we are creating foundations for bookkeeping skyscrapers, not building houses on sand!

Integrated Cloud service

In a practical context, there are core areas where we use Cloud accounting to make step-change improvements in the running of ordinary small businesses:

  • Cloud bookkeeping/reporting - via Xero
  • Cloud systems - via Receipt Bank/AutoEntry Automated Accounting Data Entry
  • Forecasting and planning software

But before detailing how each works - and the three work together - a brief introduction to 'the cloud' would probably be helpful.

Cloud software

You may not realise that if you use Internet banking, you are already using the Cloud. We can go a stage further to import your banking live into Xero.

Cloud accountancy software is similar to traditional, or self-install, accountancy software but hosted on remote servers.

Data is sent to the Cloud where it is processed securely before being returned safely.

So what are the benefits for small companies? In fact, there is a significant list.

The first is a technical bonus . You no longer have to constantly install and maintain latest editions of expensive software. Instead, you receive the benefits of state-of-the-art updates automatically.

The next two are also technical benefits. The first is easy access to real-time reporting that draws on a wealth of stored and processed financial data. The second is being able to do this through mobile devices at any time of the 24-hour clock... and Christmas Day if you wish.

An additional advantage is the inherent flexibility and efficiency of Cloud accounting.

However, another very important plus is that your balances are always accurate and current; far fewer errors occur than with manual entry.

Putting these advantages together, we can multiply-up the value of simple daily transactions for busy business-owners.

Our aim is to improve the control of your business, while leaving you free to do other things. We want to make your life less complicated!

No more receipts hidden under the clock!

- Xero
Cloud bookkeeping as the first of our three pillars. We use Xero as a powerful tool for reconciling transactions, issuing invoices, speeding up payments and allowing you to open up reports anywhere at any time.

Few people like working anti-social hours. Many busy SMEs are forced to carry out some of their administrative activities outside normal working hours. Xero makes it much more convenient when you have to.

We also use Xero to automatically import and categorise your current bank transactions.

Xero can also be integrated and connected to third-party apps for inventory management, invoicing, time-tracking and other transactions.

Another attractive option for businesses that serve retail customers, including restaurants and bars, is integrating point of sale (POS) systems with Xero software. By syncing information automatically, this eliminates human error.

- Receipt Bank
How handy would it be able to process-and-forget receipts as you go along? Now you can.

Receipt Bank makes this possible by converting annoying bits of paper into reliable, up-to-date data.; the service can also be integrated with Xero.

Millions of pounds of expenses go unclaimed every year. Now nothing needs to be missed.

Simply use your mobile phone to take a picture of receipts. We can then approve payments for you and process the information into your online bookkeeping within hours.

- Forecasting and planning
Companies are increasingly moving the management of their budgets to the Cloud for very practical reasons.

Once Xero is in place, we can apply additional bolt-on tools, i.e. real time financial forecasting.

Again, software providers are apt to release product updates as often as every two months. The Cloud overcomes this hurdle.

One-stop-cloud

Bringing bookkeeping, receipt uploading and budget forecasting together as one extremely convenient package designed to streamline small enterprises is now a specialist expertise area for Premier.
